The Passion Project is simple. To capture extraordinary people doing extraordinary things that they are passionate about.
The idea was formed when the artist, Danielle Jenkins, was driving back to Las Vegas from San Diego. There is something about an open road that is inspiring. She has always had a passion for photography and starting taking photos in 2009. An interest turned into a hobby, and a hobby turned into a passion. She is also passionate about making people feel loved and special. When she was needing some life inspiration, she thought to herself, how can I love and inspire people by using my talents? The Passion Project was born.
All photography by Danielle Jenkins.
The Passion Project has started by utilizing Las Vegas's most well known charity, Opportunity Village. Opportunity Village is a non-for-profit organization serving children and adults in the southern Nevada community with intellectual disabilities, to enhance their lives and the lives of the families who love them. Opportunity Village is dedicated to helping people become the ver best they can be. Through vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy, arts and social recreation, citizens with severe disabilities are able to find new friends, realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration and unleash creative passions.
A special thanks to Taylor from Paper Bag Beauty who donated her services for hair and makeup!
